Acting on my April Intentions

Hey guys! As I mentioned, my intentions are all about making small adjustments to ultimately create a more significant impact on my day-to-day. Also, I loved seeing people comment on which ones speak to them. Give the ones you like a try and let me know how it goes!

1. Work on my POSTURE. i’ve been working on this for years, sometimes it’s great and others not so much. Overall, sitting up straight can help with pain, breathing, and alignment & not that I’m struggling with any of those right now, I still think about them often!

2. Take a YOGA class. I’ve taken several classes before and love how I feel afterward but during class I sometimes feel like I’m trying to hard. After meditating several times last month, it helped with my anxiety, breathing, and settling my mind into a comfortable place. I’m hoping I’ll be able to take that mindset into class and be able to turn my brain off and unwind.

3. Go watch the SUNRISE and SUNSET. Seeing the sunrise over the water in Hilton Head was breathtaking, so as the weather gets nicer, I want to continue doing that outside and take in the little moments!

4. Go to SLEEP earlier. Daylight savings really messed with my sleep schedule and I've been going to bed 1.5-2 hours later than normal. I want to get back to grandma status where I go to bed early, getting 7+ hours of sleep a night. Even 30 minutes extra each night adds up and would help with numerous aspects of my day-to-day.

5. Celebrate the WINS, acknowledge the setbacks. Since starting my health journey, I've had some amazing wins but also some setbacks. I still enjoy cheat meals and having a lazy day and knowing that achieving my health goals is not an overnight fix has honestly helped me keep moving forward. Of course, I want to continue staying on track the best I can, but when I do have a setback, I'm not beating myself up over it. It's my birthday month and ya'll know I'll be enjoying some sweet treat to celebrate!

Thanks for reading!
