Healthy Take 5 Candy Bar Recipe
Hey friends! Last week I shared my no bake almond butter, chocolate, pretzel, and date bars. I had seen a few recipes that combined peanut butter and chocolate but wanted to give it a bit more texture! So... you now have a cleaner version of a Take 5 candy bar. They are simple and delicious - make them now & thank me later.

1 1/2 cup almond butter (I used MaraNatha maple)
1 cup almond flour
8-10 pitted dates
1/2 cup water
1 cup chocolate (I used Enjoy Life)
36 pretzels snaps (covers entire 8x8 dish)
8x8 dish
Directions
In a medium sauce pan, add dates and water, cook on low to medium heat. Let the mixture melt by stirring and breaking/smashing dates apart with fork, do this until it turns into a thick sauce (there will still be chunks). Set aside and let cool.
In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup almond butter (saving the other 1/2 cup for the chocolate layer) and almond flour, then press into an 8x8 dish. Then, layer on pretzels snaps evenly. Next, pour over cooled date sauce.
Melt chocolate and 1/2 cup almond butter together (I used the microwave) until blended together. Pour over date sauce and leave in freezer for 1 hour. Enjoy bars up to 1 week in fridge or freezer.
